Feeding Our Ducks
The lush Willamette Valley is known for its exceptional culinary offerings, and the University of Oregon campus is no exception. Delve into some of Oregon’s freshest bounty served up in our nine dining venues—visitors are welcome at all! More than 25 local farms provide our seasonal produce, and our chefs take pride in using those fresh ingredients to craft house-made dishes from scratch. Discover some of the highest-quality campus dining you can find anywhere in the country. Whether you want to indulge at an all-you-can-eat buffet, sample international fare, get a quick bite to go, or simply grab a cup of our famed Pacific Northwest coffee, there are plenty of options to choose from.
If students find themselves missing a particular meal from home, they can submit that recipe to our chefs, who may then run it as a special. Last year, a family recipe for kale salad was so popular that it ended up on the regular menu. We wonder how surprised that family was when they walked into a dining venue and found their favorite family recipe on the menu!
Known for its weekend brunch, Barnhart offers a delicious, all-you-can-eat dining experience in a spacious open loft with a fresh salad bar every day and a rotating menu throughout the week.

In the heart of campus, Carson is the go-to place for all-you-can-eat meals. At night you’ll find a special late-night menu with customizable calzones.
Common Grounds Café
By day, a favorite homework spot, with specialty espresso drinks, smoothies, soups, and bistro sandwiches. By night, it’s a great hangout spot where you can grab snacks until 2:00 a.m.

Fire ’n’ Spice Grill
Design your own bowl at this sizzling Mongolian grill with fresh vegetables, protein, homemade sauces, and rice or noodles.
Our chefs are creative, and like to have a little fun, too. One “secret menu” item came about when one of our chefs found inspiration in the shape of the duck wings adorning our football team’s gear. He took a chicken breast, cut it into the shape of duck wings, and then battered and fried it like chicken tenders. One order went out and immediately other students started to say, “What’s that? I want that!”
Another came up with a secret menu item she dubbed the banana phone. She didn’t tell anyone what it was, just laid a banana on the counter at Dux Bistro with a tag on it that said, “Why don’t you answer the banana phone?” Students picked up the banana and “phoned in” their orders. What secret menu item did the students order by banana phone? A hot, gooey, banana Nutella sandwich, of course.
With an incredible variety of options, Fresh is the place to go when you’re craving just about any type of cuisine, offering rice bowls, pasta, fresh sushi, espresso, and a deli counter.

In addition to a wide variety of snacks, Grab ’n’ Go is also home to the “Gastro Grub,” where you can order custom-made burgers and sandwiches.
